About
When the process is given its own time and space, and ideas are communicated clearly, it will reach its full potential. While my art draws influences from many styles, these are the guiding principles that form the core of my work. – Lemur
I was raised by a creative family on the shores of Cancun, Mexico. Since I can remember I have loved to draw and have had a lot of support and encouragement at home. I remember one day, in my early teens, I was walking down my grandmother’s street and a buzzing sound caught my attention. I followed the sound to a doorway where I saw a man on a red couch getting tattooed. While tattoos had already begun to catch my attention, this was the first time I witnessed the work in process. Over the next couple of years, the more I explored tattooing, the more I found that this was my medium. By the age of 15 I had become fascinated by tattoo art, and was doing whatever it took to launch my own career as a tattoo artist. I worked persistently at making my presence and potential known, and at 16 I did my first tattoo, at a shop in a tourist area, where I had the opportunity to learn, and to meet many people from other parts of the world. 3 years later, curious of what lies on the other end of the ocean, I set out to discover the world and myself in it. I have been traveling, tattooing and experimenting with other art forms ever since, particularly in Europe, Asia and Canada, where I’ve worked alongside other artists, studying art and culture, expanding my knowledge and my life experience.
These days I can be found at Exotix Studios in Toronto, Canada where I continue to collaborate with my clients & capture the essence of what another wants to preserve.
